Concord's art style didn't fit the gameplay it was trying to push, while also releasing in a heavily saturated market with character gameplay where a majority of the characters were just some variation of "gun and grenade".
Y'all were crying your eyes out about the bear scene in the BG3 forums, Sirona simply existing in Hogwarts Legacy, the pronoun selection at the start of Starfield, female custodes and Ashley Cooper in Warhammer 2, the art style choice/representation of Hestia in Hades 2.
And, the goalposts kept moving.
We don't care about your moral crusade, as evident that even cartoon porn is more popular on Steam than the largest "fight the woke" group.
You're quite literally the opposite side of the same coin of the "woke", a very loud very small minority.
As a patient gamer I get to play games when any controversy about them is long forgotten. Makes everything more enjoyable.
Hogwarts Legacy, while it feels a bit rushed. It captures the wonder and mystery of Hogwarts castle pretty well with all the collectibles, puzzles, hidden rooms, etc.
People were borderline crying themselves until they puked, over a Trans npc existing, voiced by a Trans voice actress.
But...once the numbers were out, it was a lot of "no, it was the lefties who boycotted it. We bought it to spite them!" cope.
BG3 was quite literally FULL of wailing neckbeards, typing as fast as their cheeto-dust encrusted sausages could handle over the bear scene. Quite literally alluding to it being actual bestiality, and pushing the "what next? Kids? I knew LGBT+ were groomers" rhetoric.
Game sold well, got popular, even the anti-woke bought it. Now? "Not woke, just designed that way."
Yet to play it, however.
For example hiring mental healthcare professionals to help alongside police, or go to calls where a mental health crisis is happening, to de-escalate the situation.
Kinda like how BLM actually stood for "Black Lives Matter Too" but, was shortened to be more catchy. People don't get the full story, and people sensitive to the matter push alternative narratives.
