No official word that I've seen but speculation is that this means they are gone.
Fun fact: they haven't.
Of course, back when coupons were really a thing, they didn't have 52 sales a year. Nobody needs coupons any more, if they ever did.
As for "you can't trade them". . . I'm really getting the idea that trading/the market/etc should never have happened. There's too much silliness attached to it (all the scams, all the hacked/phished accounts, all the annoyance over 'pending'. . .)
