Game recorder doesn't record any video

I press ctrl+f11, I get the popup saying that recording was initiated. But it's not actually recording, then when I close the game, I get a popup saying that I have a new 00:00 clip.
How to fix?

Are any non-game apps running that you launched through Steam?
I had to disable recording for Soundpad when I had the same issue

What do you mean? Is the game recorder feature still in beta?

It was the streaming feature. I had to select "disabled transmissions" in privacy settings of the streaming settings. Even if I wasn't steaming, because I had "anyone can join transmissions", video recorder wouldn't work. That's so stupid....
