It took that long to figure that out?
No wonder they are removing Windows 7/8.1 ... the people running those OSes are ignorant enough not to know the proper pecking order from the start. /sarcasm
You see arguing from some people here ... either Windows 10/11 users or those simply trying to express some common sense. You neglect to see everything but what matters to you. Security issues come before anything else and I simply can't blame any business out there that sees the end of those OSes and runs away from them.
You know , there's an old saying out there about the differences between listening and hearing. This should have been the first and last topic made about this issue because it was the only possible way for your voice to be heard by those who actually matter when it comes to Steam.
The sad part is I highly doubt this is the end of crying about Windows 7 support ending. Some people never grow up and an open forum is the perfect place to prove it.
the circus for the win 7 users is open where the malwares will tear you alive since Win 7/8/8.1 doesnt longer get any security patches and almost no apps has support for it
That was supposed to be satire. A Tandy Desktop is literally a PC from the 80s. It wouldn't have enough space or memory to run Steam.
Browsing the internet is not what gets you bluescreens, it's when you play the games and Win7 gave me quite a bit of blue screens.
To the point where it felt normal. On Win10 the first time I saw one I was "Hey, I used to get those on older OS years ago"
Naturally Win7 is gonna be more stable than the earlier lot of it. But it's still Windows Vista code and people hated Vista.
10 and 11 are objectively much worse compared to 7
So the conspiracy theorists say...
retiring a thing... it happens. and in this case, it already happened. its dead and burred. next time act before it happens. and act effectively.
