FPS: The best of this genre are Call Of Duty or Battlefield, you can play them in one player and they are entertaining games even if it is more normal to play them in multiplayer. Perhaps in one player they are too short. In single player...

- Metro 2033
- Metro Last Light
- Metro Exodus
- DayZ

MMORPG: Single player I think these are some of the best.

- Dark Souls
- Dark Souls 2
- Dark Souls 3
- Elden Ring
- Sekiro
- Nier Automata

Rogue-Likes: I'm sorry for you because you may not listen to me, but the only and best Rogue-Like I've played and it's worth it is The Binding Of Isaac with all its expansions. I have seen that you tried the previous one or one for a short time, give it another try as it is amazing and easily entertains you for at least 500 hours.

PD: I don't know how to show the games like the one above did xD.

Disappointed you left out one of the best ones yet:

I have-- let's see... 2,392.1 hrs in it. And counting.
The Factory must GROW!

Doing some quick back of envelope math here, this game has now managed to suck up more time out of my social life than Diablo 2.
That's a feat worth counting.

If you keep your Ps and Qs together you can spend that long just experimenting with Path of Exile. I was going to say TF2 but it got filled with bots no one is going to do anything about.

I've been playing the original Wizardry games for the last 40 years. Is that long enough for you?

Oh, and I would advise against using scam sites in your name and avatar. It will get you reported.

Competitive multiplayer games, MMO, complex ARPGs. That's probably your best bet for 1000+ hours

It's actually not a scam website, it's a legit csgo trading site i use. Do a little research and you will find out many csgo youtubers streamers get sponsored by the site.

CK2, cities skylines, EU4, Stellaris, all can give you hours of play, there have a lot of DLC however.

Why so negative about free to play games, not all of them are trash. Warframe is defo a game you should consider playing or at least give it a chance.

Look up some reviews on it, its even praised of one the better free to play games out there.

Other games i'm thinking about are like city builders l!ke city's skyline, but the sequel is right around the corner

Then your typical rpg is alway's your best bet to have many hours out of it

Euro truck is decent but for me it becomes boring pretty fast, but i never modded the game. I heard the game is a lot better with mods

Strategy genre is also a good pick

Maybe consider start playing chess, the best strategy game of them all. There are some great chess games on steam. But i would recommend playing the game on chess.com. The game has a lot of players on that site. Finding a match only takes like a second. Its show's most of the time a profil picture of your opponent which is great + their country.

the site saw a increase of 10 million players and more within a few weeks, its very popular
