It's hard to say, but when you haven't ever been hacked in your entire lifetime, nor your friends or family using Windows 7, you start thinking it's more alarming bs than anything...
If I ever was, you think I would continue using that system?
You have no idea if you have been or not. That is the point. You think every single infiltration attempt leaves a big giant window open that says 'GIVE ME MONEY'? I have no idea if I have been or not. However, fact of the matter is, your OS is no longer tested nor monitored, nor any security system being updated for literally over 3 years. My OS is patched regularly and its 3rd party security is continuously updated.
Look, just because I am factual and you are not, I bring facts to the table that are relevant and demonstrable, and you do not, and I understand how systems work and you do not, does not mean you can be ignorant of the facts and act like a petulant child. They are laid out for you to take action. If money is the problem, well, you are not working as you sit here typing. If your 'games' are the problem, well, you do not own any game on this platform, period.
this is my understanding...
i am saying... i dont think hackers are going to say... hay my win 7/8
hacking days are over... i'm going to invest in win 10/11 hacking....
its like saying.... no one is going to use window 7/8 anymore.....
i would tend to side with you... if i didnt know people that have
had their computers hacked... and youtubes that are showing
you people being hacked in real time.... and hackers on tv showing
how they hack into phones on the other side of the world in real time...
i can say i have never been hacked...
but i dont really know if thats true... or i got good hackers that
just tweak my computer and make it faster and leave me alone...
You think every company on this planet who has had an infiltrated attack, whether by vulnerability, or social engineering, knew of the attack when it happend? Equifax knew about that? NO. They found out MONTHS if not YEARS later.
again wrong, all of microsoft browsers have been able to be uninstalled, including edge even though they tried their best to again try monopolizing on the browser market after IE failed miserably.
ofc internet explorer isnt getting updates, it was dropped back in June 15, 2022 (meaning it had updates at least up to said date) and fyi, that browser wasnt specific to any OS and could be installed on any OS.
again you are wrong, you clearly dont know what said browsers support what and chromium support for win 7 ended in early 2023, firefox is supporting win 7 on a second version of firefox until end of 2024.
https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/185534985/sunsetting-support-for-windows-7-8-8-1-and-windows-server-2012-and-2012-r2-in-early-2023?hl=en
last chrome version "supporting" win 7 was 109 and 109 was released in on jan 10th 2023.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-windows-7-8-and-81-moving-extended-support
firefox support win 7 until end of 2024 and put win 7 users on a separate release (115 ESR) for "extended" security, until said date.
lets not go through the rest of the list of browsers, we know the answers already and they show you are wrong.
btw, chrome and edge are utter trash, firefox is better than both by far and doesnt use chromium.
antiviruses and w/e other bs you mentioned will support and have supported until a specified date and even though i havent checked, im willing to assume there are plenty of them still supporting win 7 as of now and even more so seeing as microsoft was supporting win 7 with ESU updates until jan 10th 2023 and the companies buying those would likely have "supported" antiviruses and the other nonsense you mentioned.
if a cve isnt found then ofc its not going to be listed or even in use if nobody knows about it, you got some weird logic...
anywho, you can make up any word salads you need to try and make yourself sound right, but you are failing miserably.
Dingdingding! Winner!
Everyone in here crying about telemetry is guaranteed to have a cellphone, a social media account, and a non self-hosted email through GMail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc., all of which track infinitely more about a person than the OS reporting back what hardware it is running on, what software is installed, and what patches are installed.
As for their "I don't want to pay to upgrade my OS!" - it's -still- free to this day to go from 7 to 10 or 11, no excuse at all. If they can afford to keep buying games, they can save and build another or buy used from a few years ago. They're just whining for the sake of whining. A whole lot of Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
dingdingding..... everyone in here hasnt given up on life and stuck their head in the sand and pretended nothing else exists, just because everything else is doing it doesnt make it right.
you can ignore all the data they harvest from you all you want, but dont tell others how they should think.
wrong and wrong as usual, all browsers are uninstallable and almost all of them can run on other OS's.
also, windows does not require a browser to function, a browsers only function is to supply access to the internet.
and btw, you again ignored everything else you stated and were told you were wrong.
Microsoft Security Essentials is getting definition updates as of July 23.
Windows Defender (the basic protection) too.
Comodo Antivirus is also supported and updated, although it uses a lot of resources and therefore is not optimal for gaming purposes.
ya you get microsoft security essentials and win defender updates even without ESU.
It's not totally true ...And by totally true i want to talk about update since 2020.
Despte what you are saying, windows 7 is still recieving regulary update from microsoft itself every week and month
https://i.postimg.cc/66gS31Wz/321-Capture.jpg
But true , it not like a patch or regular security upgrade that will cover a cve but it's still something nontheless
Sorry i do not have smartphone and again less using a social media beside steam and i still use the same email adress and provider i've used more than 20 years ago.
And personally i do not want to use w10 or w11 till , my windows 7 is more than enough for my daily use and activity, that's all.
All I can say is keep using that windows garbage . 12 will more than likely be pay by the year . We still have 7 on some computers at work and the rest 10 . Today I was using Office 365 . You cant use it without paying and have to log in to do anything . I dont have to get online or log into anything to use Libre office . Its free . It runs anything I have made on Windows . Windows is garbage . Move on and learn something new . Win11 is nothing but spyware . With windows you will eventually own nothing . LOL , Sounds like Blackrock
