Maybe. But not supporting a 15 years old OS will most likely not be one of them. Microsoft dropped support and Google will as well, it's unreasonnable to expect lifetime support. You not wanting to upgrade for whatever reason is a you problem.
The SSA is still a contract and you not reading it or disagree with it despite having clicked the "I agree" button doesn't invalidate it.
In any way, if you feel like you've been wronged, talk to a lawyer.
Well, good luck with that. I'm not going to tell you not to, because I'm curious to know how far you intend to go with this.
That'll likely be a given, but why idt this isn't going to happen, and why they're going to go to a Legacy Client like EA did.
speak to consumer affairs in your area... they know all the laws...
Anyway, op is just trolling now, so I'm out.
Have fun.
How is it insecure? You know nothinng about my software and hardware setup except for my OS. My internet is operated within a VM but thanks for parroting the base level argument everyone makes. My computer security is not your concern.
I do believe a jury would agree with me.
These tech companies are dealing with a lot bigger of a chainsaw then consumer affairs. Congress, Federal Trade Commissions and others are salivating to break up and regulate these companies, and should.
This Steam has become a deregulated whorehouse, where anything seems to go here. Ask Tik Tok, Twitter, Facebook and other how that's going for them.
my biggest concern when sticking with win 7 was no more security updates...
maybe you should share with people hanging on... how you keep it secure...
because all i find is maybe you should use the computer offline and you'll be ok...
and if you can get a bit technical... there are technical things you can do...
alot of people arent that technical...
i got over my fear.... windows 10 and the smooth upgrade to win 11 was great....
and all the programs i ran on win 7... seem to run as good if not better now...
However a lot of users, are trying to paint it as such.
I still haven't seen a single game that works on Windows 7 but doesn't work at all on Windows 10 or 11.
Expecting them to have a separate client entirely, that has both access to the current store apis, etc. Is a bit of a big job, then of course, also keeping that client updated with securities so nobody can crack it/find further bugs/glitches in it.
My distrust of Microsoft is what made me want to learn about computers and how to secure them.
Fair point about the court system, but wouldn't you secretly like for me to succeed with such an endeavor? After all such a victory would benefit the consumer.
They already have a working Windows 7 client, I am on it right now. It wouldn't be that burdensome to release simple bug fixes and nothing more. Hell I would be willing to sign a new TOS that says "THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MY UNSECURED OS" or whatever legal jargon to keep them out of any responsibility.
Whatever new features they want to add I obviously don't need. Most likely new ways to spy on their users lol.
