Can we get a setting to hide all games that require additional launcher besides steam?
Call me lazy or whatever you want, but if I buy a game on Steam, I want to play it on Steam, I don't want a separate launcher with separate account to play a game I already bought.

I know that someone here will say "Then don't buy games that clearly state that they require separate launcher" duh.
The problem comes in when someone decides to show me human kindness and gifts me a game without knowing about my destain for multiple launcher games. Then it's either taking the gift and never Playing, making the gifter upset
Or
Denying gift on base of principle, making the gifter upset

Long story short, adding a checkbox that says "I don't want to see not receive games requiring additional launchers" wouldn't be too hard I assume, it wouldn't bother those who don't mind multi-launcher games and would benefit those who share my view on games like that.

You can decline it so they get refunded. It's better than making them upset by giving something that's never played.
Others can also be told you don't want non-steam launcher games and to look on the store page before considering gifting.

You could just accept such a gift and play it. It's not like it's your money supporting this practice. Neither is there actual harm done to you (or your computer) from logging into Origin, Uplay or whatever.

You can play such games without supporting the practice.

You can also politely decline while explaining the reason. The gift er won't get upset this way.

You can use the art of the language to convey peacefully and honestly your belief to other person. Beside that, you can write such mentioned by you checkbox on your profile for everyone/friends to see.

That's regarding the other issue you described, regarding main issue if I understood correctly (I probably didn't), you can set every game with extra launcher to category, for example; "Multi-launcher" and keep them there, though I don't know if you would be satisfied with how they could appear depending on your set filter.

Another option is you can use Playnite as your launcher and there you have option of hiding games that require extra launcher, the thing is, that this by itself is something you want to avoid because it is multi-launcher, I mention it just as a curio.

As far as I know, Steam doesn't have such built-in functionality.
I'm with the OP on this one. I cannot be bothered playing games that require a second launcher. I have some and I regret them already.

Game gifts can not be restricted from being sent. A filter for what you want will only apply to you browsing the store, if they ever decide to add one.

That would still be good enough for me
