Jester reacts need to be removed

They are only used by trolls, people who have no ability to critique and just hate on things, and are never used in a good positive way.

They are found on posts when there are people in the comments thinking they've pulled some epic, golden material, never before told joke and want to annoy the person posting.

I'm sick of receiving them every time I don't like a game or don't share the beliefs of whatever hive mind has most occupied the discussion.

I've been given more Hilarious than Jesters. I don't think any less of the Jester. But I do think maybe it gives more praise than is deserved for posts that were more sad than funny.

But to be serious. The simple "block awards on this thread" or block recieving awards on your accounts all together - steam feature, would solve problem in a blink of an eye.
To let each user decide for themselves.

People who get twisted up over awards don't really have a problem Valve can solve. They have a problem with fragile egos and that's going to persist no matter what features Valve piles on.
