I am under the impression their sort is simply unable to have fun/find fun in anything that doesn't tick them off.
Easy solutions for simple people.
Wouldnt the one changing history be the one with the issue, not so much the one simply mentioning that it is an issue? You can not see how taking away all realism doesnt ruin a game?
In fairness it could be argued that the woke are the trolls here.
Let us remember that the real majority are the people who play games ... not those who want to decide what belongs in games or not.
That is the true minority.
That is why I think they should stay. They have an opinion and you decide whether the opinion is right for you or not ... not your opinion is right for everyone else.
If people want realism and real life issues, play a simulator game.
(my apologies for the edit, I was distracted by King of the hill on telly)
People need to make their choice whether to buy games or not. Telling others what to buy or not buy doesn't work.
There is only one real solution to this.
A developer makes a game and you decide whether or not you want to buy it. Vote with your wallet.
It shouldn't be about deciding what should or should not be in a game, telling the developers, then expecting everyone else to deal with what you wanted in it.
BTW you are under the assumption that the anti woke are the minority on this. I would beg to differ. The Woke are by far the minority when it comes to pushing an agenda. They just tend to have the loudest voices.
At the end of the day I see a game, see what is in the game, then decide whether I want to buy it or not.
If I see that decisions ere made to put certain things in a game I don't agree with I simply don't buy it. No point in complaining about something I had no control over in the first place.
Which brings me to this point ... this is all about controlling the narrative so you get your way. I would never buy a game that was allowed to be made with the support of a minority of gamers who want things their way. That is the way I see your argument. It is a massive failure in my opinion and would certainly force me not to purchase those games.
I think you are making HUGE assumptions when it comes to what certain groups of people want in their games. That speaks volumes about you negatively in my opinion. I am an individual and deserve to be treated as one and not by a group that you decide I should be in.
Bad games always have mixed or worse, with a low player count.
It doesn't mean much, seriously.
In my experience many games that end up in "mixed" are indie games that have the guts to try something new. Which results in different opinions among the player base, since things can be hit or miss for different people.
That, however, doesn't really change what Paratech was on about. People who tell others what they can or cannot buy based on stupid things like "woke" is what doesn't work.
Most games on the "WAAAAH, IT'S WOKE!!!" list are very enjoyable games that I'll play no matter how much random internet users X, Y and Z cry about it.
Because the polictical messaging in them (hey look at me, the big strong straight, white, alpha male soldier) was "ok" according to people. The very same people who now cry foul.
