Selfinflicted issue. Be more responsible with your card AND your purchases. No company refunds to a separate payment method because of legal issues. They aren't going to facilitate money laundering.

That's not just Steam, but every retailer around the world. You can only refund to the original payment method, barring that giving credit.

They will not refund the money to my card. My old card was hacked and so it was destroyed, and Steam just says "to bad" and "well you welcome to spend it from you wallet" I DONT WANT IT THE F'N WALLET ACCOUNT!!! I WANT IT BACK IN MY BANK ACCOUNT!!! But, nooooo thats to much for a company of this size apparently. Good job all this did was make me to use Epic Store or buy it directly from the company. SCREW YOU COMMIE BASTARD!!!

They can not refund it back to a payment method that was deleted by you due to it being "hacked and destroyed."

When you leak your bank details, bad things can happen and sometimes consequences outweigh compensation.

For legal reasons Steam cannot and will not send a refund to a different payment method than the one that was used in the original payment.
If you don't have the original method, the money is converted into Steam Wallet Credit.

Your inability to protect your card info from bad actors/scammers is not Steam's problem.

If the card was destroyed/deactivated, there is no way for them to refund to it, simple logic.

Well like others have said all shops do this even retail ones they always want the purchase to go back on the original payment method and if not you get credit. It's the same with no valid proof of purchase not everything is simple like I bought it I want my money back there are stipulations and rules to follow to get your funds back. How about contacting your bank and explain you no longer have the original card due to fraud and you were given a credit that you don't wish to use and want a refund back to your new credit card.

Refunds work by reversing a transaction. If Valve cannot reverse it to the card the best they can do is place store credit on your account.
