Thumbnails on Steam Awards nomination page are black, nothing works?

First of all:
I don't have any banners in the Steam client redirecting to the Steam Awards 2024. Instead, I have to manually type/paste the address in a browser in order to get there.

Once I do get there, whether I'm logged in or not, the thumbnails for each category are black and no games are listed. The headline and text as well as each category are there, but it's like nothing is active or working. Yet, the page itself says that the voting is on-going and will run until the end of December. Many game developers are also encouraging players to vote. So it's really odd.

It almost feels like being subjected to a weird shadow ban.

I can navigate to previous years using the Steam client without problem and see nominations and winners.

Does anyone have similar experiences or maybe an explanation for what is going on?

The Award Nomination period is over. It's only active during the Autumn Sale which ended on Cyber Monday. Anyone or anything stating that it runs through December is misinformation.

The Winners are announced during the Winter Sale which begins on the 21st or 22nd.

Yeah every Year the same issues.
But black Thumbnails is new.
I also restarted Steam Client, same issue.

But it's a Server issue for sure because:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 ()

Thumbnails being sourced from the same site that is currently struggling because of increased traffic due to the start of the sale. Give it a few hours for things to settle down... Like the start of every major sale.

I can confirm this is a issue with Steam, because I was trying to get into do this and my queues and I cant do them, because Steam is being like this right now.

The Store has the same bug btw. Empty thumbnails with glare animations that don't load.
