Warning: Delta Force Installs Invasive Kernel-Level Spyware and Causes System Issues
"WARNING! Delta Force installs highly invasive kernel-level spyware disguised as AntiCheatExpert (ACE). This anti-cheat software feels like it’s spying on you and causes serious conflicts with other anti-cheat systems like Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), which is already kernel-level. The most frustrating part? Even after uninstalling Delta Force, ACE's services remain active on your system, causing issues with other games!

I tried to launch a game using EAC, and I got the error message: 'Please close ACE-BASE before launching.' Even when Delta Force was uninstalled, ACE's services were still interfering with my system!

This is completely unacceptable for a free game. The risks to your privacy and system stability are too high. Here's how to remove ACE if you want to fix your system:

Open CMD as Administrator and enter these commands:
sc delete ACE-GAME
sc delete ACE-BASE
sc delete "AntiCheatExpert Service"
sc delete "AntiCheatExpert Protection"
Restart your PC to finalize the removal. Save yourself the trouble and protect your privacy—stay far away from this game!"

No, Microsoft's announcement had nothing to do with removing kernel-mode APIs.

https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2024/09/12/taking-steps-that-drive-resiliency-and-security-for-windows-customers/

And even if they tried doing that (which they did try with Vista), at the end of the day when a program has admin-level access to a system, it doesn't need anyone's permission to do whatever it wants to do. Removing APIs wouldn't stop companies from making kernel-level client-side anti-cheat software even if it were happening.

I don't care about anti-cheat software, but Microsoft is definitely locking down and restricting the Kernel Mode API's to Microsoft (and I imagine 'trusted partners') only.

Where is the source they are actually locking them down?

I bet you have social media lol. If so, that spies on you more than any kernel level anti cheat.

I really hope Aliens don't come to Earth just yet.

that is for sure. facebook had a friend i may know and it was someone i recently met just walking my dog. no other contact then just that. So i do question when things don't sound right. i don't really have much knowledge on this game. just watching if what they say is true

Hey there! 😊
I totally get it—Delta Force can be a fun game, no doubt about that! My concern isn’t about the gameplay itself but rather the technical and privacy issues caused by the AntiCheatExpert (ACE) system. While it may not technically be spyware, its kernel-level access and lingering presence even after uninstalling raise legitimate concerns for some players, including me.

It’s great that fans are enjoying the game, but I believe everyone deserves to make an informed choice about what they’re installing on their systems. Thanks for sharing your perspective, though—it's always good to hear from the community!

I really want to play the game but I'm not letting some company siphon all my personal information.

little fun fact: The services get deleted when you uninstall the game;
They do not get deleted if you have other games using Tencents Anticheat downloaded.
Tested on a real machine and VM.

You mean all the information that you have saved with your user profile's privileges and thus anything can access them without extra privilege?

Then don't play the game? As a matter a fact don't play any other game that uses a kernel level anti cheat, you should complain about those too they're all the same.

most games with anti cheat do it.

if you play easy anti cheat games and uninstall them all easy anti cheat will have folders in several places that stick around for better and worse.

how do i know
apex legends.
warthunder
vermintide 2

ive done it.

its one of those things that gamers universally hate because while it ussaly doesnt cause problems youll know when it does.

Basically anyone against Kernal level anti cheat is suspect.

Never had issues and if I did, a clean format of the comp will do the trick.

Exactly I totally get where you're coming from. The game itself looks really fun, but when it comes to invasive software, you have to draw the line somewhere. Protecting your privacy and personal data is way more important than playing any game. Hopefully, the developers will listen to feedback like this and consider implementing a less intrusive anti-cheat system. Until then, staying cautious is definitely the smart move:steamthumbsup:

very hypocritical when you play other games that have the same type of anti cheat and collect the same amount of information 🙄

this doesnt work for me, just says those files/programs arent installed even though they are.
Just delete the anti cheat via control panel, the rest are residual files. If you have already deleted the anti cheat through control panel or via uninstalling the game you should be fine. Every program leaves residual files, including anti cheats from other games. This guy is just fear-mongering and being a hypocrite.
