Warning: Delta Force Installs Invasive Kernel-Level Spyware and Causes System Issues
"WARNING! Delta Force installs highly invasive kernel-level spyware disguised as AntiCheatExpert (ACE). This anti-cheat software feels like it’s spying on you and causes serious conflicts with other anti-cheat systems like Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), which is already kernel-level. The most frustrating part? Even after uninstalling Delta Force, ACE's services remain active on your system, causing issues with other games!

I tried to launch a game using EAC, and I got the error message: 'Please close ACE-BASE before launching.' Even when Delta Force was uninstalled, ACE's services were still interfering with my system!

This is completely unacceptable for a free game. The risks to your privacy and system stability are too high. Here's how to remove ACE if you want to fix your system:

Open CMD as Administrator and enter these commands:
sc delete ACE-GAME
sc delete ACE-BASE
sc delete "AntiCheatExpert Service"
sc delete "AntiCheatExpert Protection"
Restart your PC to finalize the removal. Save yourself the trouble and protect your privacy—stay far away from this game!"

Assuming you have evidence of that, should you not just... Report the game? o.O
mohissa0441m Dec 5, 2024 @ 4:34pm
I absolutely agree that reporting the game is important and I will definitely do so however Im also sharing my experience here to raise awareness about the issues I encountered especially with the invasive anti-cheat software not everyone will think to report these problems and sometimes players need to know what they might be getting into before installing the game This is about informing the community and protecting others from potential system issues :machinelearning:

If you believe there's an issue with the game, report it via the Store Page and Valve will take a look.

Also, same or similar anticheats often do not like to run st the same time, that is not new at all when trying to start more than 1 protected game at a time.

Potential risk also is just that, potential, it does not mean that it is a risk merely by existing or that its "Spyware". If Valve agrees with that assessment of being Spyware, they'll likely remove it.

I appreciate the suggestion but the issue Im highlighting isnt just about running anti-cheat systems simultaneously. It's about the kernel-level access and residual services left behind by the game even after uninstallation that kind of persistence can lead to conflicts with other games and even affect the overall stability of your system. It’s not just a minor inconvenience its a technical concern
as for the term "spyware its not just about the potential risk but about the type of access the software demands. When a game’s anti-cheat system requires that level of access and leaves traces after uninstalling it raises valid concerns.
I will definitely report it to Valve but I wanted to share my experience here for those who might not be aware of the issues. Its not about baseless accusations, but about making sure the community stays informed. thanks for your input

I would recommend informing the devs. Services should not be running that can generally conflict with other things.

Definitely a quality of creation/publishing and teating problem, but they're likely not as adept as other Devs.
Ctrl - alt - Del is your friend use it often.

also if you are still having trouble suggest you go into your reg key and remove all entry of Delta Force, if your still having issues with it, check online for fixes to remove any invasive software from your computer.

well, firstly.. you vote with your wallet and avoid games with all that 3rd party bs (ignoring crap added after you bought it, while then ignoring studios that do this, in the future).

secondly, you are in luck, as microsoft is removing kernel access as a thing for anticheats to use, thus all those kernel level anticheats will no longer have that access and will have to find another solution (and soon before it happens) or end up closing their business(s).

no one said anything about them "removing access to make gamers happy".

they are removing access because of stuff like the cloudstrike issue, ie.. they are doing it for security and will likely work with companies who were relying on kernel access for their software, to have a working solution to run outside of the kernel.

anywho, convos done, bye, have a nice day

Oh, the CrowdStrike thing? They said they would look into adding new APIs that could be used for managing that kind of thing. They're not removing anything.
