"Posting comments too frequently" glitch

I don't mean to sound whiny and honestly it's not really a big deal lol, but I posted a few comments on some friends profiles telling them I liked their epic profiles and what not, the next one I tried it gave me that error message. It's been about a full day and a half since then and it wasn't a ton of comments, only a few. Is this a glitch? I also noticed it's only happening on certain profiles and not all of them. I've honestly never seen this before.

Not a glitch. Don't attempt to leave another comment for anyone for a full 24 hours. I'm guessing it's 24 hours. Regardless, you are resetting the timer each time you try so the cooldown is not expiring.

Too many, way too fast will give you the spam error. ie... 10x in a span of less than a minute.

Also, not too many, not too fast on "non-Steam friends" profiles, 10 per 24 hours. ie... Once a minute.

I getcha, the thing is I've been asleep most the time and haven't even been active on steam. So, it should have definitely been cleared by now. So I'm starting to think it's a glitch

How many did you do and how fast before you hit the cooldown?

I think it was about an hour an half total for all comments. I didn't spam them, I was just bored and left a few random comments about memes or profile compliments

I left one comment for a few profiles over the span of around an hour and a half. Unless steam has lowered the restriction timer, I see this as a glitch. But I'm not too sure. Thank you for the help btw, I'm confused lol

It sounds like there is more to the story. Were you posting anything also like reviews, topics, etc.?

Nah, I rarely post reviews or any topics like this unless it's something I need fixing. I posted some copypastas. Maybe that has something to do with it?

That could be it. Though I only posted the same copypasta meme twice on two different profiles and left one compliment on another. I don't see how that could result in a cooldown. Unless they've gone much stricter on that.
