Free Extra Steam Keys Being Given away - dozens of keys available

Since I saw others giving away key i'll toss in one of my extra games too. I'll be adding more posts here with free games only 1 game per person so the same people can't snag all the games. These are all games I already have duplicates of, no keys are being bought for users.

So keep an eye on this thread as I have years worth of humble bundle games i'm giving away. To accept you just need to accept a friend request long enough for me to send you the code and thats it.

Also, as far as the whole no one offers AAA or "full priced" games drama: I have keys for some such games but I won't be offering them in this thread. You can blame regional price difference for that. I don't want to offer a game that costs 80 USD in my region and only 40 USD ROW for it to then go to someone who wouldn't appreciate it.

I would not be surprised if other people hold off for similar reasons.

Not really, there's a market for delisted games. Look at Poker Night 1 and 2, or Deadpool.

Delisted games can be very expensive. Look up Transformers Devastation and that's just one example.

I thought that was only triple A games, that game looks like it could be 10 bucks or so when it was here for sale.

Not judging of anything, I just didn't expect a game like that would sell for that price.

Well, the lowest Transformers Devastation ever was before it was delisted, was $7.49 back in 2017 and I should have bought it. One thing is the game was licensed and it also wasn't a bad game. It was like playing the '80s cartoon that a lot of people grew up watching as kids.

The other Transformer games are kind of expensive too but I don't think quite as much as Devastation. Any game that has tied to a movie or a TV show it's going to be a bit expensive.

I've been hoarding my bundle keys for a year or two now and I'm sitting on 50+, I'm not feeling sociable enough to partake in this thread to give away but I AM using this topic to note for when I do giveaway later this year.

I'm sure the people currently giving away keys are also keeping little notes/lists too, for future reference.

But yeah it's super frustrating being blessed with an extra popular/AAA key and then seeing how people can act so entitled, for sure.

Thank you. So Japan gets Injustice 1 instead of Shadow of Mordor and not in addition to. Which is silly, as the Mordor games are sold in Japan. Only Injustice 2 and the MK games aren't sold. And that's because WB insist on submitting games to CERO for rating on a platform that CERO has no legal power over. *Sigh*

As much as I'd love to have the MK games, I won't be asking for them if they are offered in this thread.

Unlike some people, I won't ask for games that will have to be added to an alt -- and the IP activation block on those games means I'd have to add them on an alt -- as that's the only way to have the correct Store region these days. =(

A little bit off-topic but game key related. Isn't paying near $100 for a game that's not available on Steam Store a rip-off? It's an Adventure Time game. I know someone who's saving up for that...

I have to pay that for games THAT ARE on the Steam store. I hate how my region is priced gouged.

I did end up buying Soul Reaver 1 before it got delisted.

Count that as pretty lucky since it’s one of the best dialogue series of games even today. Just plain good writing

Understandable. Sadly Humble is one of the few stores where a VPN doesn't work, otherwise I'd buy them myself. Used to love Mortal Kombat back in the day, but since WB cut us off from them, it's been heart breaking seeing the new releases and knowing they're unobtainable on PC for no reason other than stubborn internal practices.

I thought maybe you could activate it if someone bought it there as gift. If people are not lying about their locations US region keys seems to work in EU, in my experience.

The restriction is purely because WB insist on submitting PC builds to CERO (the console rating board that treats adults like children). PC games don't need rating. So legally, there's no real reason preventing the games from being sold in Japan.

After 2018, VPN for key activation no longer works. You can only activate region locked keys on a Steam account with a matching region. So US/ROW/WW keys on an account set to United States as its region. I have such an account specifically for out of region activation.

For example, for a few days Humble sold Calisto Protocol in Japan, but the keys were region locked and couldn't be added to Japan based accounts. It activated perfectly fine on my US account (and is playable on that account in Japan).

In other words, if someone did buy an out of region game as a gift, I could activate it, just on a different account.
