Will My Games Disapear?
With the Unity Change coming, which will charge developers for every installation, will I still have my games? I ask this question as many games on Steam that are Unity based and have read developers are going to remove their games from Steam. So If I have purchased games that are based on the Unity Engine will I lose my purchase if or when the developer pulls their game?

If I do lose access to a product that I purchased, doesn't that violate my consumer/customer rights? Will I get a refund on all games that get removed?

Or do I get to keep my games and can install and uninstall them as I please?

Once you bought it. Its yours to keep forever.
However when you re-install the game the developers have to pay for each install. So be sure not abush by re-installing the game over and over.

Nothing will happen to games you purchased.
Even if a developer removes their games from Steam it has no bearing for the user who already owns the game.
It will install and play normally like always.

I own dozens of games that are no longer available to purchase on Steam, be it because a license ran out, the publisher removed the game or the dev threw a temper tantrum.
All those games are still in my library and i can download and play them, just as before.

You just wont be able to buy those games anymore if you dont already own them, thats all.

I'm curious as to how Unity are going to track games built on older versions of Unity. Surely Unity hasn't been dialling home all this time? I certainly don't recall anyone complaining about Unity doing so... For that matter, what developer is going to willing update their builds of old games to use any new version of Unity that WILL dial home to track installs?

You'd think, but its intresting to see how this works. I mean i'm 99% sure they will still be accessible, but none of those older games have the developer charged when someone installs it for the first time...

If Unity's changes applies to previously bought games before the cutoff it will be very intresting
