Works fine here. There's a setting for it, check if it's disabled.

It does, but like a lot of things, on Windows especially, it's just not particularly good at it.

Unreal. Millions of fanbois swear their lives by steam, yet this program doesn’t event have some BASIC functions.

Here I’m playing in 4K on a 38” and the UI is tiny.

Valve is unplugging Windows 7 but they can’t be bothered to add a simple feature like UI scaling in this PC gaming holy grail of an app???

How do I scale my Steam UI?

In SteamOS, go to Settings -> Display -> toggle off Automatically Scale User Interface, then play with the slider until you're happy with the display size.

No such settings in my Steam. All I have under Settings is Display, which doesn't have any options of changing UI scaling.

Steam>Settings>Interface>Scale text and icons to match monitor settings (requires restart)

Steam has had UI scaling for a long while. It's name and location has changed, but it's been there for years.

Bro, I swear - I'm in the Interface menu and I do NOT see this option here.

I'm using:

Steam Version: 1694466342
Steam Client Build Date: Mon, Sep 11 2:51 PM UTC -08:00
Steam Web Build Date: Sat, Sep 9 4:01 PM UTC -08:00
Steam API Version: SteamClient020

Are you using a different version?

Weird I check in both beta, and non beta and it's there. Try this opt into Steam beta, if still not there, move onto next step.

Next step redownload Steam client to do this, head to where Steam installed > Delete everything in the folder except for "steamapp" folder, and "Steam.exe" file, once done run "steam.exe" and see if it there.

Just wondering you on Windows correct?

I’m on Win 7. Maybe that’s why…?

Yup, that's why. Win7 doesn't have proper system-wide scaling. Basically, if you want legacy tech around you, you get legacy tech around you, no point complaining about lack of modern amenities in legacy tech.

It might be that, I don't feel like troubleshooting for it with VM for it as I just made room for my other testing projects.

I see if I have any friend that still on Windows 7, and ask them to check for me, but just giving you heads up, I do recommend moving to Windows 10 at some point as Windows 7 & 8 getting dropped early next year. You can use same Windows 7 key to activate your Windows 10 key for free, just use media creation, and do upgrade option this will activate your key to activate your Windows 10 copy.

UI scaling doesn't work for Win7. I have Win7 too. I just copy the page URL and paste it to Firefox (when I'm reading the discussions).
UI scaling works on Win10+.
