Is there a good app or program to take good screenshots of games?

I always see really good in-game screenshots that look amazing but when I try it, doesn't measure up to the really popular ones on the community tabs of certain games. My pc rig is on the higher performing side btw. Do they use some sort of 3rd party app or program to take these in-game screenshots and edit them or are they just using the steam default shot. I have access to the Nivida program but I haven't tried using it to take screenshots yet so I might see how that turns out but any advice on taking really good in game screenshots or using other programs for it?

Use highest resolution and highest quality settings in the game, that way the screenshot will look better.

it copies the image directly to your clipboard, so you can just hit ctrl+v and paste it anywhere

If not mistake there option to take high quality screenshot via Steam settings. Maybe you're referring to that, or you refering to people taking screenshot at a higher resolution than your montior native resolution.

^^^ Yep. Other than that, you may look at using ReShade which will make you're game look a lot better.

Nvidia Ansel. My Witcher 3 are from Ansel.
Use alt+f2
The thing is these screenshots are not saved in the Steam uploader screenshot but outside and to upload to Steam as Artwork.

Its a mix of things. Some screenshots include modded content. Others are edited with image software. Or even both combined.
The program you take the screenshot with doesn't matter because it just takes what is on screen.
