This Dennis G, probably a scammer, I wouldn't trust a random person especially on steam.

If anyone claims to be steam support, mod, or admin, it's a scam as Steam support don't use discord to giving any support ever. If ever need help from support you make a ticket on Steam help section of Steam site, no where else, as they don't do private live chat, phone calls, sms texting, VoIP, or emailing, they only do things via ticket on Steam itself only.

Also FYI if anyone told you to scan QR code for discord, don't it's a scam login for them to gain access to your discord account, idk why discord allow login this way as it's really dumb.

Hi guys sorry if I make mistakes I don't speak english) my friend recently got contacted by Dennis G and his accomplice but he didn't fell into any scam but they still managed to change his mail his password and even bypass steam guard on his phone in a second (I assume they used a bot) in order to block his account and make the "ban" story more real.
This friend of mine can't use his account anymore and can't achieve to get him back, anyone here got in the same situation ?

Just for the future, if anyone messages you on Discord regarding anything about them being a Steam moderator just immediately block them. No Steam moderator will try to contact you through Discord.

The "Dennis G" who contacts you on Discord, on the other hand, is NOT the real Dennis G. It is a scammer posing as Dennis G.

Note that anyone can change their name to anything on Discord. I can make a new account on Discord right now and call myself Dennis G.

The "Dennis G" you ran into on Discord might not even be the same as the "Dennis G" that someone else ran into on Discord.

However, if they are trying to do things with your Steam account, or if you're asked to go talk to them about Steam matters, those "Dennis G"s are all scammers, and are all impersonating the real Dennis G.

The hijack of the account happened earlier, if its like you say, this "contact" was to make your friend do things like paying or confirming a trade for a stupid reason

Check their badges- that account does have a Valve Employee badge. Might be a retired or former employee, no longer active at Valve. I agree, it is odd that there is no Valve Employee banner at the top of the profile if they are still an actual active employee.
