Questions about password changing
So i have changed my password a lot recently and im just wondering if there is a limit to how many times you can change your steam password. I know you cant trade for 5 days after changing your password but if you change it again during those 5 days does it add five more days or is it five more days from the time you changed it again? please help

As far as I know there is no limit on how many times you can change a password. Also, the 5-day restriction is for if you reset your password, not change it.

Recent password reset

If you reset your password, you will be restricted from trading and the Community Market for 5 days. If your account has not had any activity for more than 2 months, these restrictions will apply for 30 days. We do this to help protect users who lose access to their email account. Note that this does not affect password changes, only password resets.

whats the difference between changing it and resetting it?

Changing it requires that you know your password, and you go in and change it while logged in.

Resetting your password is what you do when you forget it, and have to use the automated recovery system.

If you forgot your password and couldn't log in, you could reset it using the "Retrieve a lost account" option found on the clients login page.

Yes. The exception, per the message I posted above, would be if your account has had no activity on it for two months. In that case it would be 30 days.

Here's the Steam Support article: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1047-EDFM-2932
