Anyone who thought a majority of developers/publishers were gonna rush off to make those updates before November 20th was probably fooling themselves.
Although since so many people have been carrying on about how much money/business Valve and developers are gonna lose I guess they'll start feeling that immediately. Or such users are gonna find out due to apathy how much they were really worth.
Most already had to set up their discounts and their nomination crap for the Autumn event. They had time before the switch but some jdgaf.
If I'm not mistaken, it's up to developers & publishers to accept Steams suggested new regional pricing. If they don't, then yes it will default to the typical USD price that other people in the world have always had to pay.
And lol it's really wild and incredibly entitled that after all these years of you guys in Turkey & Argentina getting games really cheap that you're going to complain and rant now that you might have to pay what everyone else has to pay for games.
Why should you get to pay less than me for a game? I have bills and mouths to feed and obligations too so frankly it was never fair to begin with that this regional pricing thing permitted other people to pay far less.
The funny thing is you're acting like you've been slighted and mistreated by Steam when it's the developers/publishers who choose the pricing scheme they want to go with. And you know what? If the developers and publishers of the world decide they don't want to participate any longer in regional pricing, then too bad. It was a bad, unfair policy to begin with.
I dont know where you from, but here in turkiye, average salary is 450$, so put 60$ in a game is almost impossible.
Do you have to give 20% of your monthly payment for a game?
If publishers do not want the regional pricing anymore then good for them.
But your point is completely off because pricing was also decided by developers when it was on local currency.
We are not to blame to have a lower pricing than the US or Europe etc.because of the exchange rate.
So I do not see how we are entitled and not you of wanting others living in a worst economy paying equally to you...
Anyway...
