this game work with controller pop up
ok seriously, who thought that a pop up message that u must click on it is a good idea?
first of all, u should only tell me if the game doesn't support a controller and will only work with kbm cus games are made to be played with a controller.
ok, someone will not agree with this, that's cool. u see? you will hate it everytime u click to run a game and it tells u please connect your keyboard and press wasd to confirm u have a keyboard, lmao that's so funny!

yeah, same ♥♥♥♥ don't show me this stupid message about grabbing a controller everytime I run a game. seriously this is so annoying. even in a steam deck UI/OS on deck or whaterver it's annoying to see that screen, now we have it here too. it takes time instead of running the game u keep me waiting until I click on a confirm with my mouse while I'm setting back getting ready to play my game with my controller in my hand. like wtf steam do u even think?

Try posting in the forums for the game you're talking about? No one here knows what game, this is the Steam Discussion forums.

There a reason you didn't search for this issue before posting?

It's not like you couldn't upload a screenshot to an imagehoster like imgur and link it here.

basically, when running a new game, a game that got updated, I must see this screen. the game won't actually start until I click on the ok button.
as I said, I used to click on run the game and get back to set relaxed to play, as I always only play with a controller. this useless info screen is bad and too unnecessary

it will only happen once u start a new game or the game got updated. once doesn't mean it's not annoying or ok to be there.

Nier: Automata totally needed one of these so idiots wouldn't stop spamming the subreddit with "WHY DOESN'T THIS GAME HAVE PROPER KB/M SUPPORT? I'M AN ENTITLED PC GAMER AND I DEMAND IT!!1" type posts XD

This popup is so stupid and frustrating. it tells you to "grab a controller and kick back" but most people have a controller and already grabbed it and already kicked back, but now because of Steam's stupid popup, they have to put the controller down and get up to use the damn mouse to get rid of this pointless pop up.

I won't buy games on steam now unless I have no option. I recently bought Cyberpunk and I specifically chose to buy it on GOG rather than steam because of stupid ♥♥♥♥ like this.

I have never seen this mysterious message, ever.
I do play with a controller sometimes, and it autoconects when I plug it into the computer. (I don't use wireless controllers, only wired.) No VR set anywhere near any of my machines, since I can't use VR anymore.

Someone else asked it you had checked your Steam settings. By default I have everything disabled in Steam settings for controllers, and I only enable what I need when I plan on using one. Here's what my settings look like: https://prnt.sc/8QXHKu_Mkovr
I am not sure if that's why I never see this controller prompt on Steam, ever. But maybe?

Your recently played games list is empty so maybe that's the reason? This first happened for me on December the 11th.
It's happened when starting Star Wars Jedi Survivor and The Last of Us. It has never happened with prodigal though, or the recent Portal mod. It seems to be something that the game developers opt in to, but it is handled by steam and is part of the steam interface and appears similar to EULAs and dialogues that ask you which version of the game to load and other similar things.
