When did Steam steal the discovery channel icon?

What was wrong with the original steam icon? (edit I am not seriously accusing valve of stealing, just poking fun at the logo)

If you see some other favicon in you webbrowser it is usually a bad cache of that.

They clearly did not steal anything.

Not sure where you got the idea that makes any sense to claim ever.
Also the BBB is basically a protection racket scheme.
