pretty sure they are talking about (i mean spamming it in several threads) simplix updatepack 7, though i see nothing about it being ESU security updates, just old security updates.
and the first link showing it is on majorgeeks.
The changelog listed on the download page does list KB5033424 as being added.
Here's the Microsoft article concering said update, for the curious: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/december-12-2023-kb5033424-security-only-update-85acc48a-78be-497f-b87d-ec9371e46379
KB5033433
KB5032000
KB5032383
KB5028969
KB5029296
...
i see now, its win 7 POSReady security updates, i guess the simplix updatepack 7 is a bundle thing from outside of microsoft then.
Not Windows 7.
Not Windows 7.
Not Windows 7.
Not Windows 7.....
Guess what? Not Windows 7...
And, last but not least, even at the TOP of the Dec 12 update..
steam will be expected to run on win 7 for some time after end of support date, for how long, no one knows, but be prepared when it happens.
keep using whatever you want, as its your choice, not others.
make the move, when you are ready.
