Can't sign out Steam Guard Authenticator

If I sign out of STEAM on my PC, now, I will have to download and reinstall STEAM GUARD AUTHENTICATOR. After I followed the instructions that appeared when I tried to Sign Out when I signed back in using the PC link, sent my email, and got a code sent me.

After I got it set up on the mobile phone again and tried to Sign Out a new message appeared and said I still have the Steam Guard A!!! installed and need to move it to another source or Remove it.

After I used all the steps to uninstall the STEAM GA App it's on my mobile phone in some unknown place still? WHERE IS IT?

I used Force Stop and Uninstall in the apps section.

Please clarify how to properly set up the new Steam mobile app so the Steam Guard Authenticator doesn't keep us from Signing out!

Until I am able to SIGN OUT of the new mobile STEAM without any hassels I am going to be playing all my games offline. And NOT buying anymore games until the mobile new Steam App is made so I can SIGN OUT on the Mobite Phone.

The new app is a mess. I'm using the old version of it in the meantime until further notice because I don't want to mess up with Steam guard and some other stuff.

Updates could solve the problem but you know on how slow Valve is so, we all have to wait.

How do you get the old version of the mobile app? Backups? Because I really hate the new app "redesign" Also I can't log out from my account on mobile...

Just shows "The account you are attempting to sign out has an active Steam Guard authenticator on this device. Please migrate or remove your authenticator and try again".

What?!?!?! The old authenticator ui was better

Here is where the Steam Team finally solved the problem.

Up in the left hand corner I L-clicked on Steam. From the menu I L-Clicked on Settings. In the next menu I clicked on Account. Team support sent me a remove Steam Guard button by eMali

Once upon a time I might have thought of it, but it has been quite awhile since I set it up fpr the mobile app. I forgot about the Account setting for the Steam Guard Authenticator.

Now the circle is filled next to the words that say, Get a code bey eMail. With that chosen all is better.

In the activate area for the Steam Guard Authenicator to use the mobile phone it is no longer set up. Ah! Better now! I will get an eMail with a code from now on.

Personally I think this "update" sucks A$$ Why can't I log out when I am done playing, why does this feel like a security risk/threat to my steam account...

VALVE! WTF are you doing?!?! I would like to log out and not have my account logged in 24/7 (I am not a F***ing Bot)... Oh why can't I log out? Oh because you have to remove your authenticator?? That's so stupid...

I feel like I've been caught with my pants down...This "update" is so full of BS... Also what's with the no chatting with friends on mobile? Where'd that go?

how do you even get the steam guard code on phone app after loggin? i dont see any code

It's a mix of checking my email or re-logging until I got it... (that was after I uninstalled then reinstalled my authenticator and got a 15 Day Community Market cooldown) But now I can't log out of mobile authenticator which Is annoying

Click the Shield icon on the bottom, then click on the blue button to see code

But yes, this update is complete trash and was not needed at all. This is why I upgraded to the old version, instead of using this downgrade in the new version.

on my phone? i have no shield icon. All i have is a blue phone symblol left side of the code numbers its asking

On your phone

load up Steam app on phone
log in
click on shield icon on the bottom
next screen there is a blue button that is obvious about the code
you'll see your 2FA code

are you using a different phone then what you previously used with Steam mobile app? Because that app seems to think so. if not, then press "I cannot access my steam guard code" and follow the instructions.
