Steam physical gift cards
Funny thing about google, says there are steam gift cards for sale in stores near me in the Seattle area, but when i call the number to make sure; they are all out of gift cards. It's been like this for months too from what i've seen in stores near me. Steam you need to get on the ball and get them to your stores for the Holidays, i've got teenage cousins who want their gift cards for Christmas. Anyone else got this problem in their area?

The stores themselves have to order more.

You can always get digital codes from stores(at least you can from GameStop) that will email you the code.

Then you could make a cool little custom card as the gift if you want.

Yeah, i've talked to the stores and it seems there is some supply issue or something.

Rite Aid always has them because, I don't know, people go there for meds, not Steam cards.

If you live near a Walgreens, they pretty much always have Steam Gift Cards in stock.

yeah, all sold out, i'm beginning to think maybe someone is buying them and reselling or something in my area, or steam just has restocking issues. looked even in the next towns over and they are gone, anyways went with a mastercard gift card and hopefully they can use that and transfer it to the steam wallet.

Steam doesn't produce the cards themselves. They issue the code to the company who makes them though. I think Fast Card does them in the US.

Prepaid Visa/Mastercard is fine to use. At least then, they can use them anywhere and not just on Steam too.

At Walmart they are not in the gift card section anymore. They are in the games/PC games section,

When searching Walmart it will say out if stock in store/online and it has been around 9 months but I stumbled upon them some time ago in store,

Steam doesn't stock the cards at retailers - they are obtained on order only. Many retailers are also changing their internal EPOS systems and some now don't support gift cards or they are unwilling to pay the additional terminal rent for something that is barely used.

Many stores do sell them so it's just best to ask and also bear in mind that quite a lot of staff aren't trained in this aspect or they aren't made aware it even exists so it's very easy to be fobbed off.

All the stores around me have them. I routinely get them from gamestop using coupons.

I don't see physical giftcards from steam in any of those store anymore. And I mean I went in one day and there was a stack of them and then a day or two later there was none, not even the pegs and labels anymore for them.

I could see supply issues being a thing but not when they had a stack of them only to vanish a day later. Seems like there is something going on with physical cards. Maybe it's certain area/retailers who knows.

Gamestop says they just haven't got any in recently but trusting anything Gamestop tells you is just foolish. Thankfully you can still at least get digital codes for steam from Gamestop.
