Best multiplayer FPS’s?

I’m stuck here for 3 months without my Xbox, looking for a multiplayer FPS like COD that is popular and reasonably priced

I’m not buying COD here because imo it’s overpriced for what it is

Battlefield V And I are $15, 3 and 4 are $8. Not sure if those are the best option.

I do want a fast-paced shooter though.

Hi G-Dawg,

Your profile indicates you've been around for a fair time and have already played probably a fair amount of Team Fortress 2 which would have been my first recommendation.

Battlefield 4 seems to be the highest rated of the Battlefield games but I copped out on the single player game because it required you to do something very bad and very stupid.

I loved Battlefield 1942 which bizarrely I think was the first in the sequence. The bot game alone was good fun. Problem was in multiplayer that friendly fire was on so team mates would gun you down to get to the tank first which necessitated respawning as anti tank and sending a couple of shots up their exhaust.

I'd advise searching for "FPS" as a tag under the sale and Free to Play sections of Steam store since paying full price for a game you may only play for three months is kinda a wate of money.

From leftfield I'd recommend "Castle Crashers" - a medieval side scrolling Double Dragon game. Not recommended if you're very heavily invested in "Black Lives Matter" - some unfortunate design choices but it is a great game.

Other than that - "Depth". The four humans vs two sharks combat is some of the most vicious and most finely balanced combat. I've heard good things about "Insurgency".

TF2 is a great game as well as unturned for there combat and fast paced. Those two are free.

I have BF4 and the hitreg feels a little bit off. Everything is a projectile so you need to lead your shots even your somewhat close to a enemy which is really weird for me atleast.

There is payday 2 if your in the mood for coop and gunning down people while robbing banks(not PVP).

Paladins is basically a free version of Overwatch which is on Steam, and has the 'unlocking element' of Smite.

doom is fun and fast paced. not 100% sure what the price before sale is but you can get it cheap on key sites

Rail Shooters, or Arcade Shooters are probably going to be fast paced shooters...

If you want First Person Shooting Games, you'll find that Doom 2016, Doom Eternal, & Quake Champions are probably your best bet for fast paced shooting... You can unlock Unlimited FPS
with those Games, & run them very smoothly... Atleast thats how they were marketed, but I
suppose anything could have changed since... o_@

Battlefield 3 is a great experience, you won't get the Battlefield 4 Tower & War Ship Maps,
but I still find Battlefield 3 more entertaining anyways... The 1st Bad Company Game is also
very, very well done... But, but? I don't know if these Games even still run on a Computer
anymore... Battlelog was run from a Website, which I don't know if it still exists anymore...

Ever since Battlefield Hardline or was it Battlefield 1 came out,
I have not been able to get Battlefield 3 to Start Game...

Red Faction: Armageddon has a Survival Mode Online that offers
a really hard Difficulty to beat it... In Hard Mode at lvl 20 or something,
the Game just starts sending you Waves of Enemies like a Slaughter Fest,
& you've gotta survive up to like lvl 50 I think... And that is just Hard Mode,
they have an even Harder Mode above that, too... & in these 2 Modes, you
basically get 1 Hit Point, if your hit once, it's an instant Failure...
