Summer sales vs Winter sales!
Are they about the same? Or which season has better sales? (Higher discounts, more variety of games on sale, longer sale) Just curious :)

Are the steam sales suppose to happen every season or is it just winter and summer?

these are usually the big two, sometimes they would make a halloween sale or what not but the summer and winter sales are the ones to look for

I'm going to purchase Astebreed and Transistor and save some money for winter :P Do you think the two games I listed above with decrease in price? (Considering they're both fairly new)

Just wait till the last day of the sale, if the sale doesnt increase by then, then you should just buy it. There isnt much of a difference in the daily deal price and sale price

they could, if you're not in desperate need to play them now then you better wait.
general tips for steam sales: usually when a sale is on a flash sale/community choice/daily deal chances are it's not going to go lower although exceptions are made every now and then.
always aim for -75% or better unless you REALLY want to play the game at that very moment.
if the game is not on a daily deal/flash sale/community sale and it's the last day of the sale (which is the day before when it says it ends so in this case 29th not 30th) and you wanna play it then just go for it.

sales can be very tempting and you can end up buying a lot of games that you'll never play just because they were cheap so again most importantly if you don't wanna play the game then don't buy it because it'll go on sales later (same sales or better)

yah! As anxious as I am to own these games and play them... I shall muster up the will power to wait... which is quite hard for me, because I am impatient!!! XD *Hngggghhhh* [Try hard suppression]

^ also bundlestar, gog, greenmangaming, indiegala also has a lot of good deals during the year
Definitely heard good things about the deals from humble bundles, wish it gave more money to some developers though
