so when you're browsing through games, and see one you wouldn't mind playing, you put it in your wishlist so that you can easily see if it goes on sale, or a friend can buy it for ya, also Steam will email you , when that game goes on sale.

If a game on your wishlist goes on sale you'll get an email notification. For the summer sale you have a chance of winning your top 3 wishlist games.

Keep the games you plan to get sometime there to get a mail when they go on sale, also in case someone wants to gift you something on steam they know what you want.

It's not that hard of a concept to understand really. You can use it as a list for games that you want. Personally, I use it to keep tabs on discounts of some games.

If you have to ask, there is no point!

Personally I use it for games I want, plus games that are early access that I'm interested in but I'm not willing to put down the cash for yet. I end up checking out my wishlist every month or so and go through the games to see if they are something I'm ready to buy, wait longer on, or delete off my wishlist.

Useful for keeping track of the many games I have potential interest in.
