Metacritic review changed from honest to...not

I posted a yellow review on a game, giving it a mixed review. I feel honesty is necessary so other players can know the good and bad before diving into something new. I didn't flame, it was a Pro/Con list kind of review. I spoke well of the positive and stated the need for change on the negative. I returned to my laptop an hour later and saw that my review had been cut in half. Someone had deleted every single Con from the post, making it sound almost glowing in spite of the yellow/mixed nature of the number on that review.

I checked the email linked to my MetaCritic account. Nothing. No reason given, no alert given, no tag on the post stating it has been editted by a moderator. The post now looks like a genuine player review when it is not. There is not option within a Metacritic player account to delete or revise any posted review. I currently have a message out to customer support requesting an explanation but I am not hopeful.

Have others had similar experiences with Metacritic?

Oh nice, a response:

"I can assure you that didn't happen. Our editors only have the ability to remove reviews. In order to alter a review, they would need to have Database access. They don't.

I'm glad to remove the review, but again, I can assure you this didn't happen. Please send me the information to the review. It'll need to be tied to the account associated with this email address.
