I imagine thats more your fault than Origins iv's been using PC's 20 years + and never had anything hacked into.
Both system work perfectly well, both have advantages, both have disadvantages, they are both DRM for games that have existed for 9+ years each perfectly happily and for everyone in the world competition is good.
TBF, you probably get the same response if you could ask on Origin's forums, as if anyone was there that is.
-Some nice features.
-Huge sales.
-Tons of games.
Cons of Steam:
-No quality control.
-Everything loads slowly.
-Often has server issues.
-A bunch of questionable design choices.
Pros of Origin:
-Isn't full of shovelware.
-Can have fairly large sales.
-Free On the House games.
-Everything loads pretty much instantly.
-Cons of Origin:
-Doesn't have that many games available.
-Not many features in the application itself.
Personally I prefer Origin.
I have never had my account hacked on either system (touch wood!).
Overall: Steam has more variety and better community (or community is integrated better into the software). Origin has less variety but is much more stable.
