[WHY/HOW DID STEAM GET SO ♥♥♥♥?] Why am I having so much trouble with the platform*
[Honestly, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke how bad this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ platform is running. Downloads don't work, countless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problems.
I don't play to much anymore but everytime i want to come back to it, Steam makes it worse and worse. I already started not to play games that i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OWN on steam anymore... because i only have problems updating, downloading or starting anything.

CAN SOMEONE JUST FIX THIS ♥♥♥♥? IT CANNOT BE SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ IMPOSSIBLE... ]

Edit:
As some have pointed out, i was very frustrated at the time of posting this. So sorry for the unnecessary swearing.

And to answer some questions:
What region are you in? (Just state/country)
I am located in Germany.

What are your system specs?
i5-4460
GTX 970

What are the exact issues you are having? Any error messages?
When i am trying to download games it either tells me i don't have internet connection (which is not the case) or that it can't reach the download server.

*I tried a few things already, including checking my router settings for safe web,
checking if i have some kind of proxy activated,
changing region in settings,
clearing download queue,
clearing download cache and even downloading steam from scratch (keeping "steamapps", "Steam.exe" and "userfiles") but none of it helped.

So here few things you can give a shot, just to test something maybe it help you out, best of luck.

Run in Windows safemode with network enable, only launch Steam nothing else, now see if the issue still there, if the issue doesn't occur, then means something wrong on your system from your normal side, if not then move on to another thing to try out.

If you have another system test that out, see if issue occur there, if still does, then try one last method.

If can use your mobile hot spot as internet access test it out, if issue doesn't occur then this might point to your router being an issue, or possible your ISP done something wrong.

That's a good starting point.

The point of doing the start in safe mode with networking is to purely show whether it's something software wise on your system causing the problems or not. Cuts a chunk out right from the off.

Of course you DO have to then work out what it is that's causing it, but it can be easily worked through by simply adding things one by one. Commonly it's some security software, antivirus or something crap preinstalled on a manufacturers system.

So, take your time, and try starting in safe mode each time but adding another service until it trips up again. Then you have found it.

I am trying to do that, but how do i add things to start in safe mode?
You manually start each thing, take screenshots for what running in background, startup, and services of your task manager, work your way there to see what could be causing you the problem, to mae things easier sort by name, and cross out all the ones that running for safemode, then only have to check the ones that not running in safemode to see what running on the normal side.
Okay i will do that and see if i'll find it.

Thank you guys!!
Seems like it is finally fixed.

So i did what you guys told me, running in Safe mode and trying to add stuff till it breaks again. But this didn't work out, then i thought id just be trying it the other way around, so i used Taskmanager to stop different running stuff i suspected till it worked.

What seemed to be the cause was the either iCloud Services or Teamviewer. I don't have any clue to why, but after deinstalling those, everything seems to be running just fine.

So thank you really much for all those that helped! Bless you guys!
I know that iCloud, and in the past iTuneshelper, has caused issues for other people. So not surprised it's a potential culprit.

They're both "always on" services, so not really a surprise they could be interfering. Might even have bene both together being a prick.

Thanks for sharing, and good you narrow down your culprits.

Not sure about teamviewer, but possible might mess with connection since it can use to do peer to peer network, and can affect networking for certain apps.

iCloud, I never used that so I don't know too much of it, sound like OneDrive, or Dropbox app.
