System Requirement Inquiry
Might be a dumb question. I was never really bothered with this until recently. And when I was younger, when I look at the back of the box, I take it at face value. But now that I have a few handheld pcs, I'm kind of wondering what does the system requirement really mean. Yes, I understand that that "minimum requirements" means what's required to run the game on at least "playable" experience. But at what resolution? Does the game developers base their minimum/recommended specs as a blanket statement that covers all resolution? like the minimum requirements is the lowest you can go with, regardless of the resolution, to run and play the game. Or are they basing it on a specific targeted resolution? like 1080p, which is currently the most popular resolution being used.

To make the answer short.... that depends on the devs how they do it.

It's depend on the developer.

If it's from a big studio and it's a recent game mininimun requirement is often 720 or 1080p with a minimum of 30 or 60 fps.

If it's an small independent developer game , requirements is often just whatever the developers had to test the game with.
