Further to that, whether you can use Air or Link will depend on your internet and/or the specific USB cable you try to use.
I don't have Virtual desktop but I downloaded SteamVR and have a link cable.
Ran a SteamVR benchmark and my pc handles it VERY well.

How many have you tried and which ones? The Quest controller (both 1 and 2 -- I have both headsets) never worked correctly in any of the Serious Sam VR games when I tried those. Neither did VR Kanjo play properly -- the ground would never set to the correct level (although that's probably not a huge problem given it won't be available for purchase anywhere after the 18th of this month). And the same with both Gal Gun games that support VR (again, controller problems). In fact, the only game I've played which didn't have game-breaking problems on Quest 1 & 2 is Half-Life Alyx.
