Steam "stole" my games
i purchased two games as a gift for a friend during the spring sale, he was out of town and wasnt able to accept them. Steam then refunded me the games after the sale had ended with out permission or any form of authorization. All i got was an email stating that the gift had been canceled. I contacted support and their response was basically "too bad". Ive looked for any indication of a time limit for gifts during purchase and even looked though the terms and conditions and nowhere does it say that there is a limit. Ive look through the refund policy and for gifts it simply says "Unredeemed gifts may be refunded within the standard 14-day/two-hour refund period. Redeemed gifts may be refunded under the same conditions if the gift recipient initiates the refund. Funds used to purchase the gift will be returned to the original purchaser." it states i am allowed to refund before the 14 day period if unaccepted but no were on steam does it say this is AUTOMATIC. I purchased these games on 70% discount and now they are back at full price so I either have to spend more money for no reason or wait and hope these games go back on sale again soon so we can play together.

Do gifts expire?
After a gift has been delivered to the recipient, they have 30 days to accept the gift. Once the gift has been accepted, the game is permanently added to the Steam account that it was redeemed on. If the recipient doesn't take any action after 30 days, Steam will automatically cancel the gift purchase and issue you a refund to the original payment method.

Returning the money you paid is stealing now?

No, they didnt "steal" anything, you even say yourself that the games were refunded.
This is how gifts work, as Mr. Smiles quoted from the FAQ, it's not Steams fault you didnt bother to read it before sending the gifts.

How is this theft lmao! Gifts that don't get accepted within a time-frame get cancelled and refunded. This is not 'stealing'.

Nonsense. I bought the complete Valve bundle many years ago and still have Counter Strike Source in my library. See here: https://prnt.sc/DCeYhsgt-Oq0
Nothing was deleted.

Exactly HOW did they STEAL from you when they REFUNDED your MONEY automatically because your friend didn't bother to log into Steam during a thirty day period?

I still have it in my account.

yeah there is 3 years of records missing there.

Everyone with an old enough account doesn't have the data for the first few years. This was indeed a problem on Valve's end, but it didn't cause games to vanish or remove records of ownership. Affected titles now say "complementary" instead "Steam store" and are listed under "licenses and product key activations" not "purchase history".

just because you have not seen something does not mean it does not happen.

That works two ways.
Just because you claim something does not mean its true or it really happened.
Thats where proof usually comes into play. Of which you provided none so far.

yes.. i only have 1 account.. with games.

i have to use this account because bans are being used as a excuse and all evidence is being ignored.
steam has banned me from support but explained nothing for 5 years.. all they do is ignore context.. twist context and justify the abuse of having me banned,

Please stop making up stuff that can literally never happen.
LOL.

just because you did not get screwed because steam included in a bundle they should not have...

false advertising...

If Valve included something in a bundle that shouldn't have been there, that would mean you got something that WASN'T advertised as being included. That's not false advertising, that's a mistake.

False advertising also doesn't cover lost data due to whatever server glitch or database issue caused it. Valve have never claimed they will store that data in perpetuity. So no claim to levy an accusation of false advertising against.

I still remember the last time you had a meltdown here. Please get back in touch with your doctor and get your medication sorted.
