4 out of 10 games on the Home page is porn
This is seriously hitting me today how out of control the Home Page is now. Almost half this front page is gooner bait.
This is no longer consumer-friendly.
Please make it it's own tab.

You have to opt in to adult content, which is set off by default. Simply check the box to hide them, problem solved.

It's not off by default, I've had this account for 20 years and I didn't opt into anything.

The filter is toggled off by default (as in, it hides adult content by default). Remove the check mark (which shows you want to SEE adult content) to hide adult content again.

And I love your claim that showing adult content to people who opted into seeing adult content isn't "consumer friendly"! Yes, it's anti-consumer to show consumer products they asked to see.... LOL

I've had my account for about the same time and have never seen adult games on the store, because I've never opted into it

steam need to give the consumer more options

You have the option to see or not see it. How often you see it depends on how many adult games you decide to buy, which will then force the Steam algorithm to suggest more of them to you.

Nothing else for Steam to do.

I want violent games to have their own section hidden out back. It's not going to happen. Because while I may have grown tired of them, plenty of people have not. They sell. A store wants to make a profit, so they want to display that which sells. Sex and violence sell.

Just took a look and don't see any that on the store page, and I have never changed the settings in my profile. So it seems that the OP is just rage bait farming for awards, so I guess I'll report as such.

and never searched porn either.... but i clicked on one and before you
know it... you are bombarded with porn.... its not consumer friendly,...

block... no views no sales..

I'm gonna tell you the same thing I'm telling the OP:

https://store.steampowered.com/account/preferences/

Go to that page.

Uncheck the things you currently don't want to see.

If you want to see them later, or you're excited about a specific game and want to check it out, there's nothing stopping you from re-checking the option.

But there's no sense in looking at things that upset you when you have an option to not look at those things readily available.

There's nothing wrong with depictions of sex and violence in fiction. But there's also nothing wrong with not wanting to see those things, and there's nothing wrong with changing what you tell Steam you want to see when you decide you want a change of scenery.

and as consumers we should be able to have what we want...

i have nothing against most genre... i just want to chose to see it when i want to see it...

block - no views no sales

You CAN choose to see it when you want to see it. You can simply allow it to be shown on the store. There's nothing more Steam can do

If you want to be able to see and search for adult games, just opt into it and then you don't ever have to opt out again.

This is literally as simple as it gets. There's nothing else that Steam needs to do.
