CS2 item sale change
Not sure if this is the right group to ask, but did steam made a change that now everytime you want to sell any cs2 item you have, even if it's 3 cents, you always have to confirm it through your phone? Because i remember before that items that are worth up to 1 euro didn't require a confirmation from mobile app

I've never used the mobile app and sell non cs2 items all the time without confirming.

Try the cs2 forum.

Have you read the many, many, many steam threads where people complain about bad trades, or getting scammed, or getting hacked and all their items traded off?

I don't play CS2 at all, so my impression of the game is based on what their users talk about in the main forums (which is almost exclusively that and VAC bans).

Could very well be, as you're also unable to sell/trade them for a week after having bought or traded them from what I remember.

I did, and that is people's own fault. Steam has a f&q page about scams and how to avoid them, but people are still stupid and fall for these.

Unluckily for me and people who don't like this but luckily for those people that are dumber than a brick, valve cares more of their customer's security than freedom for trading and selling items.

That's why today we have pending balace, buy item cooldown, sell item cooldown, invisible items for 10 days when trading and all other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If valve didn't care about their customers none this would've been implemented but they do care

If they really brought it back, that would be hilarious actually. I would be thrilled to see how long they uphold it this time. :cozydarkseer:

They brought it back a few weeks ago.

It seems that every transaction needs to be confirmed now. I just tried to sell a cheap item on the market and had to confirm it (I didn't sell anything in the last few weeks).

Another thread about it: Selling on market always requires mobile now?
