There are a lot of people in SEA that are ordering the SteamDeck for the FIRST time.

Also now that fulfillment is basically within the next 3 months, potentially before christmas, and that news from valve is that they are ahead of schedule, people who might have been on the fence of "i dont want to wait 9 months" are likely purchasing now since the window of getting your device now is much shorter
You are aware that people are allowed to private their profile, and therefor you cannot complain about them.
Plus, he's known here.
Had that happen where the GM was coming out of his office roughly every 15 minutes "got ANOTHER one !" with a smile and then goes back in the office. At the end of the day 7 employees were fired for stealing from the registers, it was small amounts over the span of a week that equated to roughly a couple hundred dollars each.
Whether or not it's a good idea to base the metric based on revenue entirely is up for debate lol
As for Steam Deck sales-- we don't have an exact number, but it's a lot. 7 months ago Valve said their monthly production target was "in the hundreds of thousands" (quoted) so if we're guessing on the low end, let's say they produce only 200k Steam Decks a month. That's.. what, 50k decks a week?
and of course, you only pay for your Deck when you confirm your order. So that'd be 50k "sales".
We can confirm production is still at its peak since many preorders are still pending (lol) on top of additional regions placing orders
willing to bet it'll remain top 5 in revenue for at least a few more months. definitely interested in seeing the exact sale numbers once they're released though
Usually because 'the thing I don't like is upper in the list than the thing I do'.
Just like people complained how EA (evil!) games could be in the top sellers after they brought their catalog back into Steam or how could 'a thousand dollars gimmick' as the Index appear there.
Obviously using revenue for measurement is perfectly acceptable. Even between games, it would not be fair to directly compare a 10$ game with a 70$ just by units sold.
And yes, even by numbers alone, the Steam Deck has decent numbers. You place an order, you are looking to receive it in months later.
They say that but its not true. If it was the games wouldnt change on the list every week. It would be the same games for 30 years. You shouldnt trust much they tell you here.
Its not baseless. Hes telling the truth. It might not seem important to you. But its true and theres always a reason the truth is better. If they were being honest, it would be so far down the list you couldnt find it. People who give their hard earned money deserve not to be lied to. It would be the same if a company put their own reviews.
Except facts speak otherwise, we know how many pre-orders, we know they have been backordered since launch, so we know they are selling as fast as they can make them.
Every fact proves him wrong.
No, its the top seller of the week and it changes every week..... Again, it helps to have a basic understanding of the topic.
