How to custom status on steam

Ever wanted a custom steam status to display if you were AFK or doing something? Before I start, I use mine as being AFK and also running a command prompt to look like a hacking screensaver.
First thing is to make a new folder on your desktop. In that folder make 2 txt documents. Name the first one Status. You don't have to, but I do recommend it. In that text document type the following:
:loop
dir/s
goto loop

This runs the command prompt screensaver and loops it. Exit and save, then right click that text document. Hit Rename, and rename it from Status.txt to Status.bat. Hit Yes, then go into the second text document. Name this one RunStatus.txt. Type the following in the file:
cd C:\Desktop\FolderName
/max Status.bat

This runs the Status.bat in maximized mode. Exit and save, and rename the file to RunStatus.bat. Now what you do is go to https://bat-to-exe-converter-x64.en.softonic.com/ and download the bat to exe converter. When it is complete open the app. At the top, click open. Select the RunStatus.bat file and click open. Go back to the top of the app and click Convert. Name your file RunStatus.exe. When it is complete, look for the RunStatus.exe file. This is what you need. Go into your steam library and select the "Add a game" button. Add a non-steam game and hit browse. A file explorer will open. Select your RunStatus.exe file, and add it to steam. You will see the app in your library. Click the settings button on the RunStatus.exe in steam, and hit change name. Change this to your custom status. Hit save, and run the app. Your Status will be changed to the name of the app. Have fun with your custom status!

Sorry, It's the only .bat to exe converter I could find. Converting that is hard. It's like turning air into chicken wings.

Or instead of doing all that stuff...

You can make a wordpad and add it as a non-steam game then rename it on your library.

Example being "Sleeping" or "Work" or even "AFK"

Nothing to install, no coding or anything complicated. All using stuff most PC's should have by themselves regardless.

Additionally, you can use your internet browser instead.

Chrome, Edge, Opera.. etc. They're all options and they can all be renamed to fit whatever status you want to display.

Wordpad is on the list of what is available to run, forgot its name for a moment there so I'll edit my main reply to correct that.

You can also run your internet browser.

Chrome...Edge...Opera...

All of which you can rename to whatever you want.

I get you want to do custom status, but why all that work?

You can literally use any, and I mean any other software that .exe to make your custom status. Can use your browser's, music players, notepad ++, you name it, and just give custom name on Steam.

I can basically just add Firefox, rename it in Steam, "AFK leave me", and done just like that.
