It's a pretty sweet deal for devs to be honest. The EAG program allows them to get extra capital they can use on resources to make the product. The EAG program provides valuable feedback so they can shape a game that consumers will want to play. The EAG program supplements their existing bug/quality testing department or for those without a dedicated team allows the dev to spend less time bug testing and more time enhancing the game in other areas.
Feedback from "experienced players" has done wonders for these games.
I wouldn't recommend using Ubisoft as an icon in the gaming world, especially for PC, their games are usually full of bugs and they're game breaking, with DLC and crap add-on packs as cash-cows. I love Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six, even Rayman is fun for my kids, but Ubisoft has a long way to go if they want to be a full-on "Professionalised" Game Company... they are making good progress with Assasin's Creed and Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Rayman, etc.
You cant have bands like the roots without blues musicans or whatever inspiration each band member calls "home"
For me my thought process for the way I view music has always been with the tragically hip until I up and move they are a more canadian to me then anyone ive seen out on the street

Speaking of Inspiration from other bands and mention of youtube, please allow me to post a music video (well, not actually a video yet, as no monmnetary income from it, just a logo for visuals), with Music Inspired By KoRn, Audioslave, Metallica, and Jimi Hendrix:

speaking personally if it was not for Early Access games I am not sure I would be playing any game
That's another reason Early Access is great... if the Dev's are straight-forward about it. They give you the list of fetures coming, release what they have, and add all features that are not in yet for free... sure they get a little less at the start but the quality assurance is not just in the hands of some twitter geeks who may not really care about the finished product, just want to breeze through and get their paychecks, etc.
It's in the hands of the Early Access Gamers too, so we WANT a game that is high-quality, so we post our thoughts, likes, desires, and concerns... bugs, features, improvements, take a look at DiRT Rally's EA Forums here on steam, it's chock full of ideas that many of them won't make it for copyright reasons (getting licensing for something like a ferrari is terribly difficult), but many of the features and improvements have and will be added.
Assetto Corsa is another success.
Insurgency is another success.
I think one should infer from my post that one of the last games I could not give two ♥♥♥♥♥ about in any shape or form would be.....halo
understanding that would understand my point
