Your subscription is currently expired. By selecting a new subscription, you will immediately be charged the amount due for the terms of the subscription you select. Should you choose to cancel your subscription, it will remain active through the end of the current billing cycle.

The rest of the message is asking if you want to renew the subscription.

Why? It is cancelled.

Secondly as you had a previous subscription it will have "manage subscription" as that is how you renew a previous subscription or cancel a current one. This is how it works on World of Warcraft, FFXIV etc.

You want to micromanage the information that's displayed on the subscriptions page?

Maybe eventually it'll fall off. But it's not a problem for a former/expired subscription to still be listed and you shouldn't worry over it.

It's just data. It's not going to spontaneously resume. It's just a list of current and past subscriptions. That's perfectly fine. It's about as risky as your purchase history.
