animated avatar stopped moving

i just bought the hunt showdown animated avatar with my steam points and used it as my avatar. it worked just fine at first but after awhile the avatar just stopped moving. i tried viewing my profile using other accounts and it doesnt seem to move either. my steam points have been deducted but the avatar isn't even in my steam inventory. any reason for this?

There is no animated image on your profile. No URL to a .gif file found. The animated image is also not in your inventory.
Don't ask me why the image is not there. The image is simply not there. As if you never bought that.

You can right-click: view source: search for .gif. But you will find no link to a .gif file, or at least not for your profile picture area.
Other profiles with animated images have URL's to those .gif files, as part of their web page source for the profile picture area. Your's doesn't. There is only a link to a .jpg file.

That explains why the image is not there. It does not explain how you could have bought the image, but not have the image.


I guess, if you bought this, there should be some sort of history of that somewhere in your Steam client. Try browsing the support sections, because I cannot access your purchase history, but you can.

How many steam points do you have?
If someone gave you an award then refunded whatever gave them the points your points will be removed and you could lose what you got if you didn't have enough points to cover it.

appears to be server side related with Steam, they'll have to fix it.
