Welcome to Steam.
Some pointers: -
1) With older games, even bundles, you always want to buy your games on Steam on sale. You're paying a heavy premium if you don't.
2) There almost certainly will be a late Autumn sale at the end of November (usually listed to coincide with Thanksgiving and Black Friday) during which all games or most of them will be on sale.
3) Star Wars games go on regular sale throughout the year. These are quite often linked to new game launches, or new movie launches. In addition there is always a Star Wars sale on or about May 4th. May 4th = May the Force, aka Star Wars day. They may or may not go on sale around Halloween - there's usually a big horror/sci-fi/superhero sale then.
4) Star Wars Complete Collection is a bundle. This means you can only buy it for yourself, not as a gift. This is because the system checks which parts of the bundle you already own and discounts them from the price. Generally you can buy any individual game in a bundle. Obviously only the games actually listed in the bundle are included. Getting a game bundle in a sale means you get a double discount. It also means buying games you might not have bought were they not in the bundle.
5) Particularly during sales Star Wars usually runs several different bundles. See which one best suits your desires.
From my personal experience not all the games have aged very well and there are some controller issues on some of the space combat games - check out the reviews. But most are pretty good.
S.x.
There are generally two common reasons why "complete" collections might not actually be "complete".
First is publishers -- games from different publishers rarely, if ever, show up in the same bundle. Other than publishers having to negotiate a deal it might also be difficult/impossible to do on Steam.
But even a "complete" collection from a single publisher might be incomplete, because it might have been bundled years ago and the publisher never bothered making new collections when new games showed up.
