Friends list and its settings open with some delay
Double click task bar icon or right click -> friends or view all friends in-game with Steam overlay, 0.5 seconds pass, friends list appears. Click the cog to manage friends list settings, same story.

Not even rebooting the pc helps. Granted, my isp hasn't been great at establishing connections to certain domains since yesterday, but should this really be happening?

First I'm supposed to get used to stuttery middle-click scrolling in chat (just like in Chrome), massive text box input delay the longer you chat in one sitting (which can at least be fixed by closing and reopening Steam), and now this?

PS:
I don't even know if this is the right subforum since there still isn't one dedicated to "Something broke."

The friends list is extremely slow for me too, has been for a while now, have you by any chance found a solution?

Nope. It's been entirely random as to how fast these things open.

I know it has become a problem recently and it's very annoying. The only workaround is close Steam and open it again and again until it's normal.

If you have a ryzen CPU and Nvidia GPU, go to device manager and disable display adapters>AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
