Paradox is one of the worst in my opinion. Every time I bought a game from them it didnt work, or it never even got released at all. Im not buying any more from them for sure. Ubisoft either because I was so amped about Legions, to find out the developers dont like guns so you usually just taze people. Cmon this is the real world lets at least simulate it.
If I buy a game it's from steam and it better not have a third party download manager in order to play it because Ill refund it. I am done with these companies forcing me to get this and sign here in order to play a game that clearly doesn't need anything to run other than the exe file. Anyway, is not like I'll be missing out on anything since all these companies I deleted make nothing but woke bs games I don't like.
I am staying away from WB games and Activism/Blizzard. I can forgive WB. The servers they shut down were to a game that was dying and it was costing them money. Nothing lasts forever. I was just upset that WB shut down my beloved Asherons Call.
Private Devs brought back Asherons Call from the dead and the server to run it, has been built. 18 years of monthly content patches have now painstakingly manufactured over a 4 or 5 year period, so the game is nearly %100 done now. Done all by volunteers. My hat goes off to them.
Activism since Blizzard is under them and they botched the last expansion in World of Warcraft and made up to 10.000 guilds or more lost all items in their guild banks. All items gone. Some guilds had stuff going back 20 years. Gone. Not being replaced. Not being compensated. People walked from WoW. I did and i have a 14 year old account.
Rockstar. They botched the GTA IV long term music license so had to gut the music from the game. The music and radio stations have always been a big part of GTA. Without the music...you have no game. Private individuals patched the GTA 4 to include the taken away music. No doubt this will happen to GTA 5 which i have not even started yet. When i get around to playing it...the music will be gone as well. I am sure of that.
The moral of the story is dont chit on people and expect them to stick around and keep giving you money.
Microsoft bought out Blizzard last year.
Wow has been pay to win for over 15 years now. Some would say longer.
Microsft with their spyware OS can take a hike soon as well. Already i have a second computer with linux on it.
In January i will get a second M2 SSD and put linux on my main machine. From then on it will be a game of, will it run on linux. If i own it and it plays on linux. Cool. If i dont own it yet and want to try it, then it better be linux compatible or run using linux. I wont even bother otherwise.
It is linux only from january when it comes to new games.
No way am i going down the windows 11 route. I might extend win 10 one year at the cost of 33 dollars. I most deffo wont extend beyond 1 year as the cost will increase to over 155 dollars for the second year. Beyond that is an oppressive 455 dollars for a years extra support in the third year.
2025 will be the year linux goes mainstream. Brought to you by Microsoft. ™
People can argue all day about technicalities, I dont even know. But I play on Linux sometimes and it seems a million times faster. If you look while playing a game, windows usually is running ten times more data than the game is. Its like running ten other games in the background. You might have meant to post this on the thread above this one, but I agree with you. But I said the same thing at one time, til I realized that not many games do run on Linux. Also hi, just realized who you are.

And who might that be?
lol, that isn't going to happen.
