THat isn't how this works at all.
You have always bought just a licence to play the game.
Only time you got it even close to owning is when you bought it in the store.
20+ years ago. :P
I'm pretty sure he already has one.
EDIT: GENDER rainbow dictates I cannot make assumption who I'm interacting with, thus everyone are "IT"
If I date some one I make sure it's the gender I love, and if I buy something on steam I make sure to read the TOS that's shows up each time...
Just because you are lazy doesn't mean steam is not transparant
If you think that having a game in my Steam library is no different in terms of ownership than that DVD, then how is losing access to that library not theft?
The language change may be because Valve is complying with the new law. Keep in mind, you were always just paying for a license on Steam, nothing has changed on that front, as far as I know.
Kinda like you buy a car yyou see in a commercial and then wonder why it didn't come with an attractive model.

The SSA likely meets the requirements for section A, and we are required to put a check mark indicating our agreement to it (I.E. and affirmative acknowledgement).
That doesn't make sense.
Why are you suggesting I'm not allowed to post unless I can magically change people's mind?
LOL wut.
THat's not how a forum works.
Also, don't claim stuff about me that makes no sense.
Oh, and you can't actually complain about the SSA changes because they actually make it easier for you to sue Valve.
That being said, digital goods have always been different than physical goods.
That's never changed.
And Steam can't steal your games.
By definition, you agree to the SSA and any changes made to it the exact second you signed up for your account.
The only way to null it is by giving up all your games.
Which is only on your end.
It's not stealing if you literally willingly give it up via a legally binding contract.
LOL wut.
