"You have an account alert" Meaning

I just booted up steam and I haven't played for more than a month when I suddenly see a yellow box at the top right saying: 'You have an account alert". As I write this my internet is slow so when I click the box nothing happens and I want to know what it means. I'm scared because my first thought is that I got hacked or something. Please anyone let me know what it means. Thanks!

make sure the alert isnt behind something. if you havent logged in a few days, it may be the update notice about the SSA

It was letting you know that there was an update to the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
