Moderation without accountability (to prevent confusion)
My problem with these forums and moderation is that it cuts in favor of people who like the games vs people who are critical of the games.

This post is a perfect example. There is no reason to take down a timeless post within the same year timeframe.

There is no confusion on this either. When you go into a game forum and point out flaws about the game, there was fanboys waiting to jump on your post.

This is the culture due to developers making popularity more important than making a good product. It's obvious.

Now the last time I said this, was fine, but because this post not only cuts against kowtowing to developers and their games, it's also critical of this forum as a whole.

So if you disagree with this post, and the culture has changed, both on how games are defended and how mods react in favor of the developers and fanboys, please show me some evidence.

Thanks!

To re-iterate, ran into White Dove (I call them Grey Pigeon now), with buying Train Simulator 2020. For 2 years I kept complaining of real bugs & issues that made game play hard to impossible. They perma banned me for getting too aggressive & cursing. Which can happen to any normal individual, especially when their lackies defend the game in the forums.
A year later they fixed many of the bugs & issues in-game, that I raised & complained about, but they kept the perma-ban on me. Corporations are the problem, not the solution.
While getting upset about sustained issues may be a thing, there is an active decision in getting aggressive & cursing. All one has to do is wonder if getting like that IRL would have consequences, and apply that to a need to calm down and approach logically.

Most also have their own sites for Support/Bug Reports so they can get the proper info to fix stuff.

Businesses do not have to put up with abusive customers just because they're customers.
"Everyone else is wrong for holding me accountable for my behavior" really does highlight why more places should ban permanently.

You have your answer as to why.

Your post history shows that if the mods didnt act with significant bias then you wouldnt be here either. The problem is only "some" are held accountable.
The rules and guidelines should apply to all forum users.

I've been banned plenty. I'm not whining about it.
Nice try though, watch your own behavior kiddo.

If the criticism is nothing more than spewing hateful words, then yeah it will be removed.
Saying you hate a game is not criticism, that is your opinion.
Constructive criticism is always acceptable, but criticism that is nothing more than hateful words is just seen as spam and will be treated as such.

Not on steam. Maybe other websites yes. Liberal left controls Valve and steam. If you say anything against the narrative then that's would be the fastest way to get banned.

Whistle harder, people cannot hear you.

You claim there's no bias yet your post history proves otherwise. I hit the nail right on the head. Deal with it champ or stop bootlicking. Your choice.

You can say plenty, in your case you have an issue with HOW you're saying things.

All I can say is it's true the moderation has no accountability. I've been on the sht end of that stick for years due to my rather mean takes on things. Sometimes deserved, usually not really.
-They do tend to be bias, I see far more rhetoric on the right side spewed all over Steam over Left in all honesty. I've been blocked banned, by moderation for saying a racist statement is racist. So yes they do have bias that they flaunt.

-I'm sure there is bias on both sides.

If you try to have an alt opinion with a mod, god forbid, you will likely get banned from a forum.
-If you try to be right in a forum, more often or not a mod will let people intentionally derail you so they can block you from the forum.

-Personally watched a mod be racist in a forum once, and banned me for calling it out. His exact words were along the lines of wealthy people are all that should exist, and the rest should die. Yes they said that, and got away with it. Old news though.

-If you try to tell anyone a mod is being a factual bully Steam washes their hands of any responsibility. If you try to report them to their company they will just say it's Steam's problem.
Some of the listed rules for mods are further tools to have an excuse to block the customer.
(So again no accountability.)

-They think this sht is hilarious, and it's not.

I've personally seen a Dev get punished on the forum for his own game, so even Devs are accountable.

Part of the reason why Domina was pulled from Steam wasn't just the patch notes, but the Dev's rampant abuse of his abilities on the forums. He'd gotten banned on his own game's forums several times by Steam moderation, only to go onto his Dev tools and unban himself.

Eventually Steam got sick of the abusive unhinged behavior, and pulled his game from the store.

"I said it, so its true" is the silliest fallacy.

I get banned, no favoritism is clear. You getting bent out of shape while using terms like "bootlicking" really shows that you get exactly whats coming to you.

Really is telling. Truly highlights why you can dismiss most of the people complaining about moderation, since it's always clear just WHY they deserve it

There's a new technology called "Search engine" you should look it up.

Developer Dolphin Barn Incorporated - which caught our eye when it slipped anti-mask rhetoric into its patch notes earlier this year - shared a screenshot of his ban on Twitter, which said: "This is the second time that one of your posts violates our discussion rules and guidelines, specifically insulting or flaming another user.

"We're also noticing a trend with abusive messages sent when banning players from your hub. When posting any content in the Community or communicating with your players, please make sure it adheres to the guidelines."

There's a screenshot of the forum ban the developer received,

Here's a screenshot of another forum ban he received for stepping over the line...

The dev even managed to get his Twitter account suspended... Under Elon's management.

There's lots of information about this case over the internet if you want to search for more evidence yourself. Dude left a trail so big it can be seen from space.

Not just one but two Twitter accounts, his personal one and the official one he had set up for the game.

Same goes for his personal Steam account alongside the Dev account for Domina.

He then fled to Gab, thinking he'd be welcomed as a conquering hero, but started attacking Gab's crew when he didn't get the reception or attention he wanted.

Now he's basically erased his online presence except obsessively posting about LGBT+ and Jewish people on Gab.
