It's what you agreed to with ever single purchase and when you made your account.

Does "Steam Subscriber Agreement" mean they will add a subscription in the future to use the platform!!
Because they used to call players "users" not "Subscribers"
this one is new now

It's literally been called the Steam Subscriber Agreement all the time. Every time you checkout, you have to confirm you've read it before you finalize the transaction.

You are already a subscriber of the Steam service. We say user, player, gamer. In Steam's perspective, you are a subscriber. It doesn't equate to someone with a recurring subscription. Subscriptions and subscribers don't go hand in hand all of the time. You can subscribe to a religion's belief system. You can subscribe to a way of life. It's just another name to describe your relationship with Steam.

And the fun fact, you've agreeed to that terminology when you created the account and every time you've initiated a transaction on Steam.

The only thing that has changed is the removal of forced arbitration and the restriction from creating/joining a class action. I assume you don't know what those are either. Suffice it to say, just blindly click "agree" like you always did in the past.

The Term subscription, subscriber etc. was always present in the SSA.
And if they changed the term user to subscribers it is only to clarify that you do not buy anything on steam, but rather (most of the time) buy a one time payment license for stuff.

Steam has always been a store. It is not now nor has it ever been a subscription service.

But using a term in the title is different than making it a defined term within the agreement. On the other hand, they could probably define the user to be a "Desk" and it probably wouldn't make a difference in most states. It's just an arbitrary word although some states might have a problem with "desk" being confusing. I suspect many wouldn't though. It's a just a defined term defined to mean whatever they say it means. I just read agreements as if those words were replaced by what they were defined to mean.

The new agreement is that you can't go use "arbitration" any more and instead have to sue in court in the State of Washing is you have a problem with Steam.

You don't really need to know what "arbitration" means because they now say you can't do, it and you probably don't want to do that anyways.
